About Gill

I've been a professional wedding photographer for more than 20 years, and I've offered newborn photography for more than ten of those. Genuinely, it's the best job I could have ended up in.

I've been lucky enough to witness so many couples make their vows in beautiful, simple places across London, Surrey and further afield, South Africa, Italy, France, Mauritius, and of course Scotland too. My aim is always natural, relaxed photography, full of personality and life, the kind of images families return to again and again over the years.

I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic, which turns out to be useful for a wedding photographer. As one of the more experienced newborn photographers in Surrey, I've been called a "baby whisperer" more times than I can count.

I'm also completely obsessed with dogs, they're honestly the best posers to work with! I've met quite a few ring bearing dogs, doggy matrons of honour and dogs making a surprise run up the aisle. I've photographed plenty of very well behaved dogs meeting their new baby brothers or sisters too, cats I love just as much, though they tend to be too wise to pose with anyone else.

I'm originally from Aberdeen, though I've lived near London for a long time now, and I'm told I've still got a bit of a Scottish accent. I'm mum to two amazing girls, married to a very lovely tall husband, and owned, really, by a gorgeous cocker spaniel called Louis, who sits under my desk while I edit. Nothing to do with the warmth of the computer, I'm sure.

I'm happy to travel anywhere in the UK or internationally for weddings, and across Surrey and South London for newborn sessions.
