I'm Gill, a newborn photographer based in neighbouring Surbiton, with over ten years of experience photographing babies in family homes across Kingston upon Thames and Surrey.
I bring my studio to you, including professional lighting, wraps, backgrounds and everything needed for your baby's photographs.
No packing bags, no travelling to a studio and no worrying about getting out of the house on time.

Newborn Photography at Home in Kingston
Those first few weeks with a new baby can be exhausting. Whether you're recovering from the birth, feeding around the clock or trying to manage an older child as well, the last thing you may want is another journey out of the house.
That's why I photograph newborns in their own homes.
I regularly visit families in Kingston, Norbiton, North Kingston, Kingston Vale and the surrounding areas.
You don't need a large house or a beautifully decorated nursery. I bring professional lighting and backgrounds, and only need a small space to work.
You can have a cup of tea, feed your baby whenever needed and leave me to do the photography.
When Should I Book My Newborn Photography Session?
The ideal time for posed newborn photography is within the first two to three weeks after birth.
During these early weeks, babies are often sleepier and more comfortable in the curled positions used for newborn portraits.
Many parents book while they're pregnant, and I reserve time around their due date.

What If My Baby Doesn't Sleep?

I've photographed hundreds of newborns over the years. Some sleep through almost everything. Others want feeding, cuddling and settling every few minutes.
I've been called a baby whisperer more times than I can count, and I have plenty of tricks to help babies settle.
I know when to wait, when to try something different and when your baby needs to be back with you.
There's no expectation for your baby to behave in a particular way. I've allowed time for all of this when planning your session.

I'm also a mum of two, so I understand how tiring those early weeks can be.
My photography includes beautifully posed newborn portraits, with the option of photographs with parents, brothers, sisters and even the family dog.
I bring everything needed for the session and take care of the posing and lighting.

How It Works
1. Get in touch
Send me your due date or your baby’s age. A £90 deposit secures your session.
2. Plan together
Before the session we talk briefly about colours, simple styling and whether you would like family or sibling images included. It stays straightforward and flexible.
3. Your session at home
On the day, everything moves at a comfortable pace. There is time for feeding and settling, and you do not need to worry about doing anything perfectly.
4. Choose your images
Within two weeks you will receive a private online gallery to choose your images and prints.
