Newborn photography at home across Surrey and South West London

Many parents do not think about newborn photography until their baby arrives. When you are suddenly home with your newborn, it can feel like you have already missed the moment.

It is often in those quiet hours at home that you notice the tiny details. How small they are. How quickly they change. What started as uncertainty about having professional photographs often turns into a real wish to remember this stage properly. Phone photos matter of course, but they are usually taken one handed, in low light, during feeds.

I am a Surrey newborn photographer and I bring newborn photography to you, in your own home across Surrey and South West London. Everything needed for the session is brought with me. Sessions are shaped around your baby, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and breaks whenever they are needed.

I photograph newborns at home for families across Surrey and South West London, including Kingston, Surbiton, Epsom and Cobham.

Why Parents Across Surrey Choose Me to Photograph Their Newborns

I have over ten years experience photographing newborns in family homes across Surrey and South West London.

Your baby’s comfort and safety always come first, and sessions are shaped around feeding, settling and whatever your baby needs on the day.

I bring lighting, wraps and simple props with me, creating beautiful newborn portraits in your own home without you needing to travel anywhere.

What will the session feel like?

Everything is planned around your baby.

If your baby needs feeding, cuddles or time to settle, the session simply pauses. There is no rush and no expectation for your baby to sleep or behave in a certain way.

Sessions take place in your own home, so you can stay comfortable throughout. You can watch your baby being photographed from the sofa, with a cup of coffee nearby.

Your baby is always placed in safe newborn poses. Safety comes first at every stage.

Should I Be in the photos?

Many parents feel unsure about being photographed just after having a baby. That is completely normal.

If you choose to be included, you will be guided gently and posed in a flattering way. There is no pressure and no expectation.

Older siblings are very welcome, and well behaved pets can be included too. If you would prefer the session to focus entirely on your baby, that is absolutely fine.

How do we get started?

If your baby is on the way or already here, you can get in touch. Newborn sessions can take place up to four weeks after your baby arrives, so please do not worry if you did not book months ago.

You can share your due date or your baby’s age and I will explain the next steps clearly, so you know exactly what to expect.

Questions Parents Often Ask

What if my baby is fussy or will not settle?

That is completely normal and absolutely fine. With over a decade of experience photographing newborns, I work with patience and care. I will take everything at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeding and settling. There is never any rush.

How long does a session usually take?

Most sessions last around three to four hours, allowing me to set up. This gives us time keeping things calm and unhurried. You can simply relax while I work with your little one. Feel free to take some behind the scenes pics too - it's all part of the day.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No! We will chat before the session. I'll bring the studio with me including wraps, backgrounds, props and lighting. Feed baby when I arrive to set up so he/she is fed and happy. Dummies are very useful too for keeping baby content during the session. My goal is to make the experience easy and enjoyable for you and your baby.
