Hi, I'm Gill. I've been photographing newborn babies for over ten years, and your whole session takes place in your own home across Surrey and London.*
Newborn photography is best within your baby's first three weeks, while they are still sleepy and curl easily into the newborn poses you see in my photographs. If your baby is already here, please get in touch.
You don't need to take your new baby anywhere. I bring everything with me, including outfits, lighting, wraps and props, and set it all up in your home.
I've photographed hundreds of newborns over the years, so there's no rush and no expectation for your baby to do anything on cue. There's plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling whenever needed.

What To Expect
Before your session I'll send you a simple guide so you know what to expect. There's no need for your home to look perfect or for you to have everything organised before I arrive. Your baby sets the pace, and there's always plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling.
The photographs are simple and centred around your baby. If you'd like to be in some of the images too, I'll guide you into relaxed positions that never feel awkward or overly posed.
One of the things parents say most often is how much easier the session was than they expected. Once everything is set up, all you need to do is enjoy spending time with your baby while I do the rest.

I bring everything needed and we work around your baby, however that day looks for you.

You'll get a private online gallery to look through at home, usually within two weeks.

When To Book
Many parents plan to book their newborn photography session while they're pregnant, but once baby arrives, life gets busy and it often gets forgotten. It happens all the time.
I usually photograph newborns within the first two to three weeks, so if you're expecting, it's worth booking during pregnancy to make sure I can fit you in. But if your baby is already here, don't worry. Get in touch and I'll let you know what's available. It's often not too late.

If you'd like to check availability for your due date, it's always worth getting in touch early. I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month so I can give every family plenty of time.
