Hi, I'm Gill! I've been photographing newborns in their own homes across Surrey, South West London and South London for over ten years.
I bring everything needed for your new baby's photoshoot, including lighting, outfits and props and my ten years of skills that I've built up soothing babies, so there's no need to pack up and travel to a studio. Your home doesn't need to be tidy - you just had a baby! I always make sure that there's plenty of time for baby to feed, settle and have cuddles so you don't feel rushed.

Those first weeks with a new baby are a whirlwind. Staying at home makes everything simpler: no bags to pack, no travelling and no rushing to be somewhere on time. You stay where you're most comfortable and I bring the studio to you.
I set up simple soft lighting and styling in a small corner of your home, so it's easy from start to finish. Parents often tell me it felt far more relaxed than they expected. You can focus on your baby while I take care of the rest.

How It Works
1. Say Hello!
Send me your due date or your baby’s age. A £90 deposit secures your session.
2. Plan together
Before the session we talk briefly about colours, styling and what you are drawn to. It stays light and uncomplicated.
3. The session at home
I come to your home with everything needed. The session moves at your baby’s pace, with time to feed, settle or pause whenever needed.
4. Viewing your images
Within two weeks you will receive a private online gallery to choose your images and prints.
What To Expect
Before your session we will have a chat about how the session will work.
On the day there is no pressure for anything to be perfect. Your home does not need to look a certain way and your baby sets the pace of the session. I bring lighting and don't need too much room.
The portraits are simple and centred on your new baby. If you'd like to be in some of them, I'll guide you so it feels natural, even if you're not usually comfortable in front of a camera.
Most parents say the biggest surprise is how relaxed the whole newborn photoshoot feels. That's always my aim.

Most sessions can take place in your home across Surrey and South London. A £90 deposit secures your date, and if you fall in love with more images than your package includes, you're welcome to add extras.
Travel within 20 miles is included. Any applicable parking fees or London Congestion Charge are charged separately.

Questions Parents Often Ask
What if my baby is fussy or will not settle?
That is completely normal and absolutely fine. With over a decade of experience photographing newborns, I work with patience and care. I will take everything at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeding and settling. There is never any rush.
How long does a session usually take?
Full sessions usually take around three to four hours. Petal mini sessions are up to two hours.This gives us time keeping things calm and unhurried. You can simply relax while I work with your little one. Feel free to take some behind the scenes pics too - it's all part of the day.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No! We will chat before the session. I'll bring the studio with me including wraps, backgrounds, props and lighting. Feed baby when I arrive to set up so he/she is fed and happy. Dummies are very useful too for keeping baby content during the session. My goal is to make the experience easy and enjoyable for you and your baby.
