A Luxury Wedding at The Dorchester Hotel in Knightsbridge for Juliette and William
The Dorchester Hotel is one of the most iconic wedding venues in London. It has a quiet elegance that never fails to impress, and it is always a pleasure to work there. I was recommended to Juliet and William by the events team at the hotel, which is always a real compliment. From our first meeting, I knew this would be a beautiful wedding to photograph.

I met Juliette and William whilst they were attending a conference at The Dorchester. Juliet was warm and friendly, and William was clearly devoted to her. They lived outside Derby, so choosing London gave the wedding a sense of occasion from the very beginning. The Dorchester became the centre of everything. No travel. No rush. Just time with their guests in one place.
As a wedding photographer, this kind of setting works so well. The light. The quiet corners. The classic interiors. Every space offers something different, whether I am photographing the ceremony, portraits or candid shots of guests during the reception.
The Wedding Set-Up In The Pavilion
The wedding ceremony was to take place in The Pavilion. I always check to see if ceremony rooms are ready upon my arrival - just as the bride and groom would have wanted it to be - before their guests arrive. It's a beautiful room, just the right size for an intimate group of family and friends. The flowers were a mix of white and green with elegant styling that suited the space perfectly

Bridal Preparations at The Dorchester
Juliet began her day in a beautiful suite, with her daughter beside her as bridesmaid. There is something very special about seeing a mother and daughter share this time together. They helped each other get ready in the soft morning light. There were quite a few smiles and giggle passed between mother and daughter at this time. It was lovely to photograph them in a calm space before the wedding ceremony began.
The suite was ideal for both portraits and candid wedding photography. Soft curtains. Pale walls. A gentle flow of light across the room. I worked quietly enjoying the lovely atmosphere they had created in this elegrant room - and let Juliet and her daughter enjoy the morning at their own pace.

Wedding Ceremony in The Pavilion
The Pavillion felt welcoming from the moment guests arrived. The space suits my wedding photography style well, offering room for the day to unfold without rush.
When Juliet entered, William’s expression said everything. Their vows were sincere and full of meaning. The first kiss was a highlight, greeted with warm smiles all around the room.

Portraits and Wedding Photography Style
After the ceremony, we stepped away for a short time. I always give couples space. The Dorchester is ideal for this. The sweeping staircase, the reflective surfaces, the soft Art Deco tones. Every detail is considered, and it shows in the photographs.
My approach is very simple. I do not pull couples away for long. I guide when needed, but only when it helps. I am there to create portraits that feel effortless while still looking refined. A mix of beautiful portraits and candid shots that show who they are together. Nothing too staged. Just gorgeous flattering portraits that capture the day.
We also used the Penthouse Suite for a few wonderfully decedant portraits. The light was beautiful and gave us a sense of London beyond the window. A reminder that the city surrounded us, even though the rooms felt calm and private. This time often provides a well timed break from the sometimes overwhelming emotions of the day and a time for just a short time for the new husband and wife to be together..well with a short Scottish but very friendly photographer in tow!

Wedding Breakfast and Evening Celebration
The wedding breakfast was set in The Pavilion once more. The table was laid with stunning white linen. Elegant glassware. Simple florals. A perfect setting for a small group who wanted to be together and enjoy the amazing food and warm company.

The speeches were full of life. Laughter moved around the room. Guests raised glasses to Juliette and William with obvious affection. Even in a small group, the atmosphere felt rich and full.
The wonderfully classic Art Deco interiors of The Dorchester make for a stunning backdrop. The intimate Wedding Breakfast was set up on a beautifully laid out table in the Dorcherster’s Pavilion Great speeches and loud laughter filled the evening speeches before the dancing began.

The wedding cake was cut later in the Penthouse Suite. A quiet space with a lovely view and room for guests to gather close. The cake was simple, elegant and in keeping with the style of the day.
Juliette's review of her wedding photograph-
“What can we say.....You took our breath away! Our Wedding Album is 'stunning' .The photographs from beginning to end are all amazing. You captured the whole essence of the day. You truly are a photographer with 'exquisite flair'.We are so very lucky to have been able to have the pleasure of your artistry demonstrated in our wedding album, to look at for the rest of our lives.”
Thank you both so much for allowing me to capture your day!
