A Perfect Summer Wedding at Botleys Mansion, Surrey

Hayley and Adam celebrated their breathtaking summer wedding at Botleys Mansion, a luxury Surrey wedding venue owned by Harper Weddings. As a Surrey wedding photographer, I was so happy to capture every beautiful moment of their special day.

Why Choose Botleys Mansion as Your Surrey Wedding Venue

From the moment I arrived, the venue was picture-perfect, even with the morning’s rain. As the sun broke through the clouds, it cast a golden glow over this elegant Surrey wedding venue — a dream setting for a luxury summer wedding.

Botleys Mansion is one of the most sought-after Harper Weddings venues in Surrey. With its light-filled interiors, iconic sweeping staircase, and perfectly manicured gardens, it's the kind of place photographers and couples fall in love with. The nearby Homewood Park offers more natural backdrops — ideal for romantic wedding portraits. The grounds are perfect. There is just the right amount of perfectly designed garden and wild parkland should you cross over the bridge to Homewood Park and all close at hand so my lovely Bride and Groom are not far away from their guests.

Bridal Preparations in the Elegant Bridal Suite at Botleys Mansion

Hayley and her bridesmaids began the day in the stunning Bridal Suite. With her friend Saria doing flawless makeup and Emily from Surrey Bridal Hair styling everyone’s hair beautifully, the room buzzed with excitement. Her six bridesmaids, two of them expecting, made the morning especially memorable.

The Groomsmen wore Classic Black tie

Adam and his groomsmen wore classic Black Tie. As a bonus, I am very experienced at attaching buttonholes after helping many Groomsmen attach their buttonholes in the past. Then stood back to take the pictures - obviously mocking up the boys doing their own..looks so much better!

When the Father of the Bride gets ready with the Groom you know you have a keeper! The atmosphere was so warm. Hayley had given Groomens' Gifts to her lovely Groom Adam and his boys - no more so than the most beautiful cuff links. Adam’s mum had sadly passed away. Hayley gifted Adam a pair of silver cufflinks etched with a portrait of his late mother, a deeply emotional gesture that moved him to tears.

A Beautiful First Look and Emotional Bridal Moment

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Hayley’s Chief Bridesmaid took her role seriously, wearing cotton gloves to protect the wedding dress while helping Hayley into it. The emotional first look of the Bridal dress by Hayley's father brought tears to everyone’s eyes, moments like these are why I adore being a Surrey wedding photographer.

A Romantic and Emotional Wedding Ceremony in The Green Room

The ceremony was held in The Green Room at Botleys Mansion, tastefully decorated with eco-friendly silk flowers and an elegant arch. One of the most special moments was hearing Robyn Taylor, Hayley’s neighbour and a talented vocalist, sing as the bridal party entered — an unforgettable entrance.

In a beautiful twist of fate, Hayley discovered her neighbour Robyn Taylor, a talented vocalist, rehearsing through the wall just weeks before the wedding. She instantly knew she had to have Robyn sing at her ceremony. The bridal party entered to Robyn’s mesmerising voice, making for an unforgettable entrance.

As Hayley walked down the aisle with her father, there were tears of joy were shed by many, from the groom to the Mother of the Bride. These emotional, candid moments are why I love being a Surrey wedding photographer.  I made sure to record each beautiful moment for my Bride and Groom to look back on, from the vows to the emotional exchange of rings.

Confetti & Sunshine: A Grand Staircase Reception Moment

After the ceremony, guests gathered outside while the newlyweds shared a private moment. They made their grand entrance into the sunlight under the sweeping stairs of Botleys Mansion, greeted by confetti and sunshine. The reception kicked off with laughter, celebration, and champagne.

Romantic Wedding Portraits in Botleys Mansion Gardens

The lush Surrey countryside surrounding Botleys Mansion provided the perfect backdrop for their couple’s portraits. With the sun casting a golden glow, Hayley and Adam looked absolutely radiant. Their love and happiness made my job effortless, This is one of the reasons I love photographing weddings at Botleys Mansion, every corner is a frameworthy moment!

Elegant Wedding Breakfast in the Atrium

The wedding breakfast took place in the breathtaking Atrium, with crystal chandeliers and natural light streaming through. Silk flowers and a Remembrance Table gave the décor both elegance and personal meaning for those who couldn't be with the Bride and Groom.

The Grand Entrance of the Bride and Groom at Botleys Mansion

Hayley and Adam made their unforgettable entrance as newlyweds, descending the elegant white staircase of Botleys Mansion to a wave of wild cheers and applause. With the sun streaming through the glass ceiling and confetti still attached, it was a truly stunning moment, one of the many reasons this luxury Surrey wedding venue is so magical.

Touching Wedding Speeches and Family Moments

After the incredibly delicious meal the speeches began - the Father of the Bride first - to his little girl - the Bride.

The Best Man followed, he who had the room in tears after a hilarious start. A surprise speech from the Bride’s brother (read by the Mother of the Bride) left everyone emotional, including Hayley, who managed to laugh through her tears.

Cutting the Wedding Cake in Style

After the emotional and wonderful speeches, it was time for another special moment the cutting of the wedding cake. Hayley and Adam stood by their stunning multi-tiered creation by Iced Elegance, surrounded by their fabulous family and friends. With smiles (and maybe a cheeky bit of cake tasting), the couple marked another joyful tradition at their luxury Botleys Mansion wedding.

First Dance and Evening Celebrations at Botleys Mansion

As the evening set in, Robyn Taylor performed once more, this time for the First Dance and an emotional Father-Daughter dance. Under the grand chandeliers, guests danced the night away. The perfect close to a perfect day at this iconic Surrey wedding venue.

A Night to Remember at Botleys Mansion

My night ended with candid captures of guests dancing and celebrating under the grand chandeliers of Botleys Mansion. From joyful first dances to heartfelt toasts and surprise moments, Hayley and Adam’s wedding was truly unforgettable, filled with love, laughter, and elegant touches befitting such a stunning luxury Surrey wedding venue..

Thank you Hayley and Adam for having me - it was wonderful!

Hayley and Adam said about me in their 5* review -

"We could not be happier with the service that Gill provided to us before, during and after our wedding day. After being let down by another photographer and putting out a message online, Gill emailed and called to have a chat about everything. I felt at ease immediately knowing we were in great hands. On the day she understood what we wanted and half the time we didn’t even notice she was there. Everyone at the wedding said she was fun, energetic and super friendly, exactly how we felt too. Our photos are perfect, could not have asked for more. An absolute pleasure to work with her and would recommend to anyone."
