I am Gill, a documentary led wedding photographer with over twenty years experience, based in Surrey just outside London and photographing weddings across London, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. My approach combines documentary wedding photography through the celebrations with a subtle editorial approach for portraits.
As everything begins to unfold, there is a lot happening at once. Conversations overlap. Laughter breaks out. The space you have chosen, the way it looks, and the small details you have thought about all come together.
That is what I photograph. The people, the setting you have chosen to celebrate in, and the moments that unfold between you and your guests. Alongside this, I pay attention to the atmosphere of the day and the touches you have made around it.
When it is time for portraits or group photos, I step in for a short time, then move back into the background so the rest of your wedding continues just as it should.
What You Can Expect
I keep things straightforward on the day so you can stay with your guests and enjoy what is happening.
Portraits are worked in gently and never take over. You are away only briefly before returning to the flow of the day.
Your gallery reflects how it all felt. A mix of portraits and candid shots, delivered within six weeks.
Wedding Photography Coverage
I photograph weddings of all shapes and sizes, from full day celebrations to multi day and destination weddings.
Full day coverage is based on a standard eight hours, which is usually plenty to tell the full story of the day. If your plans run longer, coverage can extend to fit your timings.
Coverage is always shaped around how your day unfolds rather than a fixed structure.

I'm originally from Aberdeen in Scotland but now I call Surbiton, on the edge of London, home. I’m mum to two gorgeous girls, married to a very lovely tall hubby, and am usually found editing my much loved cocker spaniel under my desk.
I've been photographing weddings for over twenty years. I love helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera. I work calmly and stay aware of what is happening around you so nothing important is missed. Oh, and I'm dog obsessed.
